At Solayo Africa, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal information. If you no longer wish to use the Solayo Africa AI Maternal Companion or would like us to delete your personal data, you may submit a data deletion request at any time.

What Data Can Be Deleted?

Upon verification of your request, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account where permitted by applicable law. This may include:

  • Your profile information (such as your name, phone number, and email address)
  • Your conversation history with the Solayo Africa AI Maternal Companion
  • Pregnancy or postpartum information you have shared with us
  • Preferences and account settings
  • Consultation records stored by Solayo Africa (where legally permitted)
  • Other personal information collected through your use of our services

Please note that we may retain certain information where required by law, for regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or to enforce our legal rights.

How to Request Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your personal data using any of the following methods:

Option 1: Email

Send an email to privacy@solayoafrica.com with the subject line:

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • The phone number registered with the Solayo Africa AI Maternal Companion
  • Your email address (if applicable)
  • A brief statement requesting deletion of your personal data

Option 2: Through WhatsApp

Send the word DELETE to our official WhatsApp number associated with the Solayo Africa AI Maternal Companion.

Our support team may contact you to verify your identity before processing your request.

Verification Process

To protect your privacy, we may ask you to verify your identity before deleting your information. This helps ensure that your personal data is not deleted without your authorization.

Processing Time

Once your identity has been verified, we aim to process eligible data deletion requests within 30 days.

If additional time is required due to legal or technical reasons, we will notify you accordingly.

What Happens After Deletion?

Once your request has been completed:

  • Your personal information will be permanently deleted or anonymized from our active systems where applicable.
  • You may lose access to previous conversations, recommendations, and personalized features.
  • If you choose to use the Solayo Africa AI Maternal Companion again in the future, a new profile may be created.

  • Financial and accounting obligations
